Your main tasks

What you’ll do.

Working directly with the President; you will be expected to provide your financial expertise as it relates to the strategic plan and business objectives for FISCHER USA (FUSA). This position is responsible for overseeing FUSA’s financial activity as well as maintaining the health and liquidity of the facility while adhering to US GAAP and SWISS GAAP reporting rules. 

The Controller supports the company’s activities, maximizing the use of resources to increase throughput utilizing Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing ideology. Utilizing data from SAP you will support all departments by reporting performance against metrics that support the growth and development of the Strategic Business Plan. 

  • Oversee all financial operations of the company under the direction of the President.
  • Assist in planning and establishing company’s financial policies and strategic goals.
  • Lead with hands-on participation in all phases of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Maintain the overall integrity of General Accounting, Budgeting, Payroll, Tax, and Reporting System.

Below are some qualifications we value in this position. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting, with 3 or more years of experience in a controlling function in a manufacturing environment.  CMA or CPA certification is a plus.
  • Experienced in the Financial Closing process through statement preparation and tax support.
  • Working knowledge and experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
  • Advanced skill level in MS Excel, and proficiency in other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience in Payroll, Payroll Taxes, Sales Tax, and other typical business taxes & reports.
  • Experience in with an ERP system, SAP experience is a plus.
